A FREE, feature-length movie, "A MORE PERFECT UNION ~ AMERICA BECOMES A NATION", will be shown at 2:00pm, June 30th, at the historic Liberty Theater, as a gift to our community from David and Catherine Brackhahn of Foxfire Construction.
Let's cherish liberty as our Founders did! This magnificent film celebrates THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES. Thrill ti this beautiful, meticulously researched re-enactment of the Constitution Convention of 1787! Ten years after the Revolution, our states were in heated conflict with one another over trade issues, and their weak central government struggled to survive. Come and witness the Convention miracle that changed discord to harmony and established the world's freest, most prosperous nation! Hear principles by which the Founders safe guarded our God-given liberties. Learn of these great men! With an excellent cast, this magnificent movie was filmed at Independence Hall, Williamsburg, Virginia, and other historic sites. Mark your calendars for this event! Adults welcome, and youth 10 years and up (no babies or younger children please). After the movie, there will be drawings for prizes, and details announced for a special one-day Seminar: "The Making of America", to be presented in Pagosa in late September by the National Center for Constitutional Studies. IT's an opportuinty to learn even more about our early history, our Founders, and the enduring value of Constitutional principles.
